In the year 2000, Ueda Yoshihiko visited Miyakejima, which had experienced a large-scale eruption leading to the evacuation of the entire island. He documented the changed and unchanged landscapes, as well as the residents who returned to the island. The photographs were taken in May 2011 (meaning after March 11th). Designed by Yamaoka Sueo.
