PRINTING SHOW TKY re-stages Daido Moriyama’s 1974 Printing Show, where, instead of displaying prints, he used a photocopy machine and silk-screen station to create a unique, staple-bound photobook. The original book, Another Country in New York, featured images from Moriyama’s 1971 trip to New York.

In the 2011 re-staging at Aperture Gallery, Moriyama reciprocated this theme with TKY, showcasing Tokyo images from the past decade. Participants were invited to customize their own copies, choosing interior sheets and cover options, blending photography and performance, and exploring the changing role of institutions in the digital age.
