Mēdeia 1.0" is a project that utilizes fashion as a medium to raise awareness about events and social issues from around the world, as documented by photographers in Japan and abroad.

The upcoming phase of the project, "Mēdeia 2.0," will shift its emphasis to explore the "margins" of thought and emotion, rather than directly conveying objective truth.

ISSUE N°3 is a collection of works by the photographer Osamu Kanemura. Osamu Kanemura, a Tokyo-born photographer, focuses his lens on Tokyo, a city seemingly devoid of essential "human presence." People and objects are marginalized against the backdrop of towering buildings and commercialization. It's an amusement city adorned with the neon lights of pachinko parlors and vibrant downtown advertisements. Individual figures are unveiled by his keen eye, and the closer we approach, the more elusive their existence becomes.

"It's a city where human habitation seems impossible. Perhaps, it represents the most radical manifestation of capitalism's pursuit. Tokyo is hurtling towards a city devoid of humans, where both human beings and landscapes appear as commodities. To capture the city is to capture the remnants of these commodified landscapes."
