Francisco Toledo, a dedicated artist hailing from the state of Oaxaca, has poured his creative energy into a wide array of mediums. Influenced by European artistic giants such as Jean Dubuffet, Joan Miró, Paul Klee, and Francisco Goya, as well as the rich tapestry of folk art, Toledo has forged a unique style characterized by its playfully exaggerated and fantastical forms. Geometry and texture take center stage in his work, where he skillfully weaves subjects inspired by both the natural world and the ethereal landscape of dreams. Toledo's artistic innovation was so groundbreaking that his mentor, Rufino Tamayo, credited him with ushering in a new school of artistic expression.
