Artist Statement
FLOWERS is a new collaborative project by Kenta Cobayashi and Tyrone Williams that engages artificial intelligence as an extension of their respective photographic practices.
Moving between the organic and the digitized, the series blurs the boundary between physical and computational worlds. Images are repeatedly transformed—first through the artists’ own processes, then further extended into digital realms—creating a visual language shaped by both intention and chance.
The unpredictability of the system’s output is embraced and guided by Cobayashi and Williams’s shared vision. The resulting mix of solo and collaborative works reflects their individual signature styles while forming a cohesive, evolving dialogue.
